Question

Hello,
Thank you so much for your quick response. I understand what you have said. It is very meaningful to me. My final questions are, how do I develop a sense of importance or confidence when I am so used to being negative about myself? And, do you think that if I or someone makes these positive changes of mind and spirit, that if a relationship that has ended could be positive, now, that you could ever get it back?

Thank you so much.

Answer from Master Keisen

Hello,

I would believe that no one is actually totally positive or totally negative about oneself, we all have mixed feelings depending of the circumstances, our health and whatever. So to go for an attitude where you would refuse the negative feelings would not be successful, as actually you would not trust yourself doing that. No one can trust himself either, if he has only positive feelings about his great person. So we have to accept both negative and positive feelings, nothing is absolute as we define the positive feelings in comparison with our negative ones, and our negative ones by comparison with the ones we call positive. So you see you can decide that all that is not so clear, severe or sinful, no problem everything is mixed.

Then do not attach yourself to what you think is negative, or positive. At the end positive, negative, are just words. Life is just life, accept it all. The great thing is that we are alive, fully alive and that we can face victory and defeat, everything changes all the time. Get some air, do things that you like, appreciate nature, birds, rain, sun, good food, wine, friends, open the window of your mind by doing simple things that make you happy and make you forget about what you think, do things that you have never done before, go to places that you have never seen, take all of that on the light side, on the side of freedom, free relationship.

If you wish to get your relationship back, try it, you will see. If you are prepared that maybe it will work, maybe it will not work; there is then no risk to try. If it works and you like it: fine, if it does not work: then it gives you the great opportunity to change your projects, leave it and feel entirely free.

Ok ?

Changing karma

Hello. I have recently begun to go to church every morning before work to pray the rosary by myself on my knees and breathe calmly. After work, I have been going every day to two hours of Bikram yoga. This all began due to a relationship ending where I believe I was not positive during parts of the relationship. Yet, I was also doing ...

The education we give our children.

For some years now my 19-year-old son "has turned bad"; firecracker, tags, police custody and already did 22 months in prison... I live alone with him and his sister who, by the way, doesn't cause any trouble. He drags a heavy karma and I feel impotent. It is nevertheless a good boy with whom I can have a dialogue and who respects me but he has ...

Karmic return.

Two questions: Firstly, I have practised for eighteen years, I haven’t stopped saying to myself that I am not in reality. What about reality? Secondly, Master Deshimaru taught that we go back inevitably to the infernal cycle of transmigration if our practice is not mushotoku. Do we follow this karmic return until our death? Thanks, all the ...
