QUESTION (resumed) :

Creation of the world

QUESTION (original) :

If you do not believe in God, as being a zen buddhist in confusion, i would like to know how you think that the world has been created. I do not believe in God but this question keeps popping during discussions.

ANSWER :

The Universe created itself through the phenomenon of the 'big-bang', namely the appearance of everything from the nothingness. The energy freed by this essential event progressively cooled itself off, creating then, beyond the strings, the elementary particles of matter such as the electrons, the quarks, and in turn the atoms. Then the atoms assembled themselves in molecules which form the stars and the planets, as well as the different sorts of life.

For lack of believing in God, at least remember your elementary courses in physics.
