QUESTION (original) :
The problem of the questions is that the answer appears only when one has detached from the question, perfectly 'Mushotoku'. The answer does not then have interest any more. Koan... Why is that I have a question?
ANSWER :
In the same way, the object of one's desire is obtained when this desire has been forgotten; one finds what one stops searching. Which is the interest? But you can also benefit from this privileged moment of the not yet satisfied desire or of the question not yet solved by becoming aware of all the magic of this moment, by realising that it contains in itself the potentiality of the happiness of the answer, by thinking that when you have the apportunity of satisfying it, the intensity of your desire will not be perhaps any more the same one. To become aware of this subject-object ambigüity is the starting point of the way which leads us to the comprehension of the true nature of the spirit.
