I have never really understood what the term "gyoji" was meaning. Would have Sensei used this expression as a whip to make us work faster? The master has the right to use as he wishes, following his will, the teachings of the ancient masters to bring his disciples where he wants. Through his teaching of Gyoji, I understood of course some aspect. But I realize that many people have wrongly understood it. We always take a huge teaching to make with it something petty. Very quickly the word "gyoji" becomes synonym of "routine". Gyoji means "repeat", repeat every day. It is not only that, however if something looks good to you or just, then you should repeat it to the infinite, as the earth

never ceases to turn around its sun, it is its saint gyoji. It is saint by dint of being repeated, it is repeated because it is saint.
