I have the intention to talk to you about some marvelous points concerning the universe of zen. But for that I wait a bit until the harmony amongst all of you is established through zazen. This harmonization takes always some time. It is like between a woman and a man who would like to have a love affair after having being separated: a little time is advocated before making love together again. Lets be patient: for zazen, it is the same think.

Everyone has got some influence over everyone in a dojo. Effectively, somebody asked me if we could really believe in this mutual influence in a dojo. It is obvious: such influence exists by our posture, our energy, and as well by our state of mind. In my sangha, there are lots of very strong monks and nuns and that has a great influence on the atmosphere, that helps a lot the beginners. It is why I do not wish, if I organize a four days sesshin, that some people say that they will come only for three, two or one day. Everyone should engage himself from the beginning to the end, a sesshin has nothing to do with a society or diplomatic appointement.
